3rd Workshop "Translational Virology – The Ideal Path to Research, Care, and Work-Life Balance?"
The workshop ‘Translational Virology – The Ideal Path to Research, Care, and Work-Life Balance?’ was a collaborative project hosted by the Young Society for Virology (Arbeitskreise Young-PI and Klin. Virologische Forschung), targeting assistant doctors, specialists in virology, and medical students on 10th of April 2024. It aimed to understand opportunities and challenges in medical training and research in virology and offered a platform for interactive exchange on topics such as research funding, balancing professional and private life, and career paths in clinical and diagnostic virology. Attendees had the chance to network, receive insights from experts, and participate in discussions on a variety of topics to enhance their careers in the field of virology.
1st Annual Meeting - Collaborations
The young PI working group had its first two-day annual meeting at the Institut of Virology in Marburg (11th – 12th December 2023). Different funding opportunities and collaboration strategies were introduced by Dr. G. Gerresheimer, Dr. E. Schnettler, Prof. U. Dittmer, Prof. F. Weber and Prof. R. Bartenschlager. We thank all speakers for participation and the German Center for Infection Research for sponsoring.
